Applicants for a medical certificate must lack: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. any abnormality, congenital or acquired;<\/li>\n
  2. any active, latent, acute or chronic disease or disability;<\/li>\n
  3. any wound, injury or aftermath of an operation;<\/li>\n
  4. any consequence or secondary effect of a medication, prescribed or not, of a therapeutic, diagnostic or preventive nature, that entails a degree of functional disability that could interfere with the safe exercise of the powers of the corresponding<\/strong> license or that could suddenly incapacitate you to safely practice said attributions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Decreased psychophysical fitness<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. a) License holders must not exercise in any case the powers of their license<\/strong>, and the corresponding ratings or authorisations, if they:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      1. are aware that there has been a decrease in their psychophysical aptitude<\/strong> that could render them incapable of safely exercising said powers;<\/li>\n
      2. take or use any medication<\/strong>, prescribed or not, that could interfere with their ability to safely exercise the attributions of the corresponding license;<\/li>\n
      3. receive any medical, surgical or other treatment that could interfere<\/strong> with the safety of the flight.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. b) In addition, licensees should promptly consult an aeronautical medicine specialist<\/strong> if they:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            \n
          1. have undergone an invasive surgical intervention or medical procedure<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
          2. have started to use medications on a regular basis;<\/strong><\/li>\n
          3. have suffered from any major illness resulting<\/strong> in an inability to work as a member of a flight crew;<\/li>\n
          4. are in a state of pregnancy;<\/strong><\/li>\n
          5. have been hospitalised or admitted<\/strong> to a clinic;<\/li>\n
          6. need need corrective lenses for the first time.<\/strong>for the first time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
              \n
            1. c) In such cases:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                \n
              1. holders of class 1 and class 2<\/strong>medical certificates must consult with an AMC or AME<\/strong>, who will evaluate the psychophysical fitness of the licensee and decide if they are suitable to exercise their powers again;<\/li>\n
              2. Holders of medical certificates for LAPL<\/strong>licenses should consult with an AMC or AME, or with the GMP who signed their medical certificate.                 1. d) Cabin crew members must<\/strong> not carry out tasks on an aircraft and, where appropriate, must not exercise the powers of their certificate as flight crew members if they are aware of any decrease in their psychophysical fitness, to the extent that such a state could make them unable to carry out their obligations and security responsibilities.<\/li>\n
                2. e) On the other hand, cabin crew members<\/strong> who are in any of the circumstances mentioned in points (1) to (5) of section (b) above must consult without delay with an AME, AMC or OHMP, depending on the case, which will evaluate their psychophysical aptitude and decide if they are suitable to perform their security tasks again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
